•  Who is sponsoring the Divine Inspiration Contest 2012 competition?  The Contest is being sponsored and conducted by Shri Yoga Vedanta Ashram (“SYVA”) located at 45 Texas Rd, Matawan, NJ-07747 in association with its regional affiliates.
• What is the subject material that will be tested for the Competition?            The exam would be based upon the subject matter from the books: “Balsanskar” (English) for the categories “Baal” and “Kishore” and “Divine Inspiration – The Secret of Eternal Youth” for the category “Yuva”.
• Disclosure Statement: There may be some content that may be considered controversial. The contest participants and/or their legal guardians/parents represent that they will verify all relevant representations, statements and information contained in the subject matter and if necessary obtain independent advice, including but not limited to medical advice, before acting on any information contained in or in connection with this book or exam. All the information provided in the subject matter is for informational purposes only. You understand that you are solely responsible for the use of the information.  SYVA reserves all rights to change, add, or delete any term and/or conditions as it sees fit in its sole discretion.
• Purpose of Contest.            SYVA and its affiliates want to share the richness of Hindu Dharma with everyone who is willing. SYVA does not intend to contradict, negate, demean, insult, nor offend any Guru, Preacher, Religion, Sect or any of its sayings, preachings, beliefs, and does not intend to engage in religious conversions through this contest.   The contest is completely voluntary. 
• No Guarantees or Warranties. SYVA has taken full care to produce accurate and useful content but does not give any assurance or guarantee or warranty for the same. Under no circumstances, will SYVA be liable for any mental or physical trauma/ injuries or damages arising from the display or use of this information.
• Study kit. Purchase of study kit from SYVA is voluntary. For$ 5 (Five Dollars), a study kit will be sent to the address registered or shall be given at the time of registration. 
• Entry Fee. Registration for the Contest is Free. You will need the study kit to prepare for the exam.
• REFUND /CANCELLATION. If for any reason a parent/guardian of the participant decides to cancel their registration, the cost $5(Five dollars) for the Study Kit will be refunded within 30 days, if ordered through SYVA for this contest. The Refund will be contingent upon the return of the Study Kit, which will include reference book(s).
• Last day of registration (“Closing date”) and cancellation. The last day to request a Study Kit refund or cancel the participation is January 7^th 2012. Entries received after the Closing Date will not be processed. Incomplete and/or incorrect entries and entries from third party agents or bulk entries will not be eligible. SYVA will not be responsible for any entries that are not received by it, for any reason whatsoever, by the Closing Date, whether lost, delayed, corrupted or otherwise, and whether or not due to any technical difficulties or malfunctions. No refund will be paid after the last day of cancellation; a no-show on the examination date is NON-refundable.
• Receipt of Information by SYVA. By entering the contest you hereby consent to receive SYVA communications.  SYVA agrees to not sell any personal information provided by means of this contest but may transfer entrants' information to regional SYVA affiliates. • DETERMINATION OF CONTEST WINNERS: Three Grand Prize Winners in each contest category will be selected based upon their ability to answer contest questions correctly amongst all eligible contestants and will be contacted by e-mail/mail within approximately ten (10) days from the selection at the end of the contest on January 29, 2012. Judges decisions shall be final and binding. Potential winners may be required to complete, notarize and return an affidavit of eligibility/release of liability and publicity within 14 days of issuance of prize notification or an alternate winner will be selected. If a potential winner cannot be reached after a reasonable effort has been exerted during ten (10) days from the contest administrators first attempt, or if the contestant is found to be ineligible, or if he/she cannot or does not comply with the Official Rules, an alternate winner may be selected.
• Model Release For Minors. For valuable consideration I hereby give SYVA the absolute and irrevocable right and permission with respect to the photographs that he/she/they have taken of my minor child in which he/she/they may be included with others:                      a) To copyright the same in the photographer’s name or any other name that he/she may select;   b) To use, re-use, publish and re-publish the same in whole or in part, separately or in conjunction with other photographs, in any medium now or hereafter known, and for any purpose whatsoever, including (but not by way of limitation) illustration, promotion, advertising and trade, and; c) To use my name or my child’s name in connection therewith if he/she so decides. I hereby release and discharge photographer from all and any claims and demands ensuing from or in connection with the use of the photographs, including any and all claims for libel and invasion of privacy. This authorization and release shall inure to the benefit of the legal representatives, licensees and assigns of the photographer as well as the person(s) for whom he/she took the photographs.
  I have read the foregoing and fully understand the contents hereof. I represent that I am the [parent/guardian] of the named contest participant. For value received, I hereby consent to the foregoing on his/her behalf.
• Model Release for participant over 18 years of age. In consideration of my engagement as a participant in the contest, upon the terms herewith stated, I hereby give to SYVA his/her/their heirs, legal representatives and assigns, those for whom the photographer is acting, and those acting with his/her/their authority and permission:   a) the unrestricted right and permission to copyright and use, re-use, publish, and republish photographic portraits or pictures of me or in which I may be included intact or in part, composite or distorted in character or form, without restriction as to changes or transformations in conjunction with my own or a fictitious name, or reproduction hereof in color or otherwise, made through any and all media now or hereafter known for illustration, art, promotion, advertising, trade, or any other purpose whatsoever.
  b) I also permit the use of any printed material in connection therewith.
  c) I hereby relinquish any right that I may have to examine or approve the completed product or products or the advertising copy or printed matter that may be used in conjunction therewith or the use to which it may be applied. d) I hereby release, discharge and agree to save harmless [photographer], his/her heirs, legal representatives or assigns, and all persons functioning under his/her permission or authority, or those for whom he/she is functioning, from any liability by virtue of any blurring, distortion, alteration, optical illusion, or use in composite form whether intentional or otherwise, that may occur or be produced in the taking of said picture or in any subsequent processing thereof, as well as any publication thereof, including without limitation any claims for libel or invasion of privacy. e) I hereby affirm that I am over the age of majority and have the right to contract in my own name. I have read the above authorization, release and agreement, prior to its execution; I fully understand the contents thereof.
• Tampering. If in the judges’ sole discretion there is any suspected or actual evidence of electronic and/or non-electronic tampering with any portion of the Contest, the judges reserve the right to reschedule the contest or terminate the participation, in which case, there would be no refund issued for the study kit cost to the entrant, even if it is ordered for SYVA for the Contest.
• If any technical difficulties compromise the integrity of the contest or in case of any unforeseen circumstances, the judges deserve the right to reschedule the contest/ change the venue.
• CHANGE OF ADDRESS: It is the sole responsibility of the entrant to notify the contest judges in writing if the entrant changes his/her contact information.
• PRIZES: Three grand prize winners, one for each contest category will be selected by the judges. Winners to be notified by email within ten (10) days after the official drawing. Only one contestant is eligible for a grand prize. Only one prize per person. Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash or credit. Prizes to be awarded:

• ESTIMATED TOTAL VALUE OF PRIZES TO BE AWARDED:  $1497.00 USD
• DISCLAIMER: EACH ENTRANT AGREES TO RELEASE AND HOLD SYVA, ITS AFFILIATES, SUBSIDIARIES, AGENTS, AND ADVISORS AND THE EMPLOYEES, OFFICERS, AGENTS, AND REPRESENTATIVES OF SYVA, ITS AFFILIATES, SUBSIDIARIES, AGENTS, AND ADVISORS HARMLESS FROM AND AGAINST ANY AND ALL LOSSES, DAMAGES, RIGHTS, CLAIMS, AND ACTIONS OF ANY KIND ARISING IN CONNECTION WITH THE CONTEST OR RESULTING FROM ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, OR USE OF ANY PRIZE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO PERSONAL INJURY, DEATH, AND PROPERTY DAMAGE AS WELL AS CLAIMS BASED ON PUBLICITY RIGHTS, DEFAMATION, OR INVASION OF PRIVACY. SYVA IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY RELIANCE, USE OR PURPOSE WHICH PEOPLE ACCESSING THE INFORMATION MAY PLACE ON OR DERIVE FROM THIS BOOK OR CONTEST. SYVA OR BOOK PUBLISHER(S) ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR INCORRECT OR INACCURATE ENTRY INFORMATION, HUMAN ERROR, TECHNICAL MALFUNCTIONS, OMISSION, INTERRUPTION, DELETION, DEFECT, OR ANY COMBINATION THEREOF, INABILITY TO ACCESS THE WEB SITE, PRINTING ERRORS OR LATE, LOST, INCOMPLETE, MISDIRECTED, STOLEN, MECHANICALLY REPRODUCED, ILLEGIBLE OR POSTAGE DUE ENTRIES OR MAIL. 
• MODIFICATION: SYVA RESERVES THE RIGHT TO MODIFY THE OFFICIAL RULES OF THE CONTEST IN ANY WAY OR AT ANY TIME. YOU ARE BOUND BY ANY SUCH REVISIONS YOU WILL BE NOTIFIED OF ANY SUCH UPDATED BY EMAIL/MAIL AND WILL BE POSTED ON CONTEST WEBSITE. THE LAWS OF THE UNITED STATES APPLY TO AND GOVERN THIS CONTEST, AND ANY CLAIMS IN CONNECTION HEREWITH MUST BE RAISED AND RESOLVED IN THE UNITED STATES. BY PARTICIPATING IN THE CONTEST, ENTRANTS AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE RULES AND BY THE DECISIONS OF THE JUDGES WHICH ARE FINAL IN ALL MATTERS RELATING TO THE CONTEST.
